This blend contains 5mg tesamorelin and 5mg ipamorelin in a single lyophilized vial. Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-44) modified by the addition of a trans-3-hexenoic acid group at the N-terminus, and binds human GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs. Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) that acts as an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a), the receptor for ghrelin. The two act at distinct receptors within the same axis.
